About Jasper
Jasper Joyner is an essayist and author from Memphis, TN. Their work has appeared in The-Toast, HuffPost, Teen Vogue, Afropunk, and others. In 2017, Jasper established the satirical initiative QUNTFRONT to expose white supremacy's hypocrisy and absurdity. Their YA fantasy novel Juniper Leaves follows a queer Black girl on a magical adventure as she finds her voice and learns to grieve. Jasper runs a free bi-weekly newsletter in hopes of bringing whimsy into people’s inboxes. They also mentor at the Sam & Devorah Trans Youth Project.
